About Yannis Kotsanis

Yannis Kotsanis holds a PhD in Computer Engineering and Educational Technology from the National Technical University of Athens. Currently he is Head of Research – Innovation & Quality Departments at Doukas School. His main research interests pertain to innovative and competency-based education, with an emphasis in language communication, logic and digital literacies, gamification, educational applications, and adult training. He joined the iRead community combining his initial academic research in Computational Linguistics with his experience as a researcher and project manager in more than 50 R&D national and European projects. About Thomas Economou

Thomas Economou is currently conducting his studies in the field of Digital Systems with a focus on Technology Education and e-services (collaborative learning environments, knowledge management, educational psychology, etc.) at the University of Piraeus. He has been a member of the Doukas School R&D Department since 2014 and has been involved with the Project Management and Financial Management of more than 20 educational and training related programmes under Erasmus+, LLP, Horizon 2020 as well as several national projects. During this period, he has also been a member of Doukas School team in several literacy related projects such as Boys Reading, IDPBC, LiRe 2.0 and COMMIX. He has also been actively involved as a researcher in several EU funded programmes.

About Christopher Murray

Professor Christopher Murray is Chair of Comics Studies and Associate Dean for Knowledge Exchange and Partnerships at the School of Humanities, University of Dundee. He is Director of the Scottish Centre for Comics Studies and Dundee Comics Creative Space. He co-edits Studies in Comics, a peer-reviewed academic journal and is co-organiser of the International Graphic Novel and Comics Conference. He researches British Comics, Public Information Comics, and has authored several comics for research projects and public engagement purposes.

About Golnar Nabizadeh

Dr Golnar Nabizadeh is Lecturer in Comics Studies at the University of Dundee where she teaches on the Comics & Graphic Novels MLitt, as well as undergraduate modules on film and literature. Her research interests are graphic justice, critical theory, trauma and memory studies. She has published on the work of Alison Bechdel, Marjane Satrapi, Shaun Tan, and the Australian online comic “At Work in Our Detention Centres: A Guard’s Story”, among others. Her monograph, entitled Representation and Memory in Graphic Novels is forthcoming from Routledge (2019).

About Damon Herd

Dr Damon Herd is the Coordinator of Dundee Comics Creative Space, a social enterprise and studio project developed by the University of Dundee with funding from The Rank Foundation. He is also Studio Manager of INK POT, a comics studio within DCCS, and has worked on public information comics on various topics including suicide, disability hate crime, and fibromyalgia. He has a PhD in autobiographical comics. His main research area is life narratives told through comics, with a particular interest in British comics and performance. He is a comics practitioner and organiser of DeeCAP, a comics performance event based in Dundee.

About Natalia Truszkowska

Natalia Truszkowska is an active practitioner of the PRINCE 2 Project Management Qualification. She has a BA Degree in Spanish and German and holds a Master‘s Degree in International Business Management with a specialisation in small and medium sized enterprises and female entrepreneurship. In addition to that, she has professional experience in the area of rural development and agriculture. Mrs. Truszkowska has managed and worked on many EU funded projects for ten years, gaining experience in project development, implementation, management, and coordination at Brussels level. These projects have spanned across a variety of issues and challenges in relation to vocational education and training, adult learning, and youth actions.

About Foteini Chrysanthopoulou

MSc Foteini Chrysanthopoulou is a food technologist with background in Food Technology and Food Safety. She has international academic and work experience in Greece, Austria, the Netherlands, and in Belgium at the European Commission. She has been involved in various projects on Food Quality and Hygiene and is skilled in microbial fingerprinting of food-borne pathogens and spoilage microorganisms. Currently she is a full-time project manager at ISEKI-Food Association and is involved in several Erasmus+ and Horizon 2020 projects, such as POSTHARVEST, ASKFOOD, SDGs Labs and SMARTCHAIN.

About Gerhard Schleining

Dr. Gerhard Schleining is senior scientist at BOKU-University. He coordinated an international masterprogramme Safetyinthefoodchain and was teaching also in EU and Asia. He is Secretary-General of the ISEKI-Food-Association, Boardmember of GHI, Chair of EHEDG Austria and authorized trainer for hygienic design from EHEDG and Quality Austria. In EU-projects he chaired workinggroups on innovative teaching materials, methods&tools, established web-databases, e-courses and webinars. He coordinated 2 Erasmus+ projects, FooD-STA, a Training Alliance between the food-industry and universities and SEA-ABT, a project to establish an Academy-for-Beverage-Technology in South-East-Asia. He was also partner in the project ASIFOOD about new challenges regarding food-safety&quality in ASEAN.
